In Star Trek, it sometimes sucks to be certian people.
These includes a nameless Red Shirt Ensign, who'd get a possibility of 90% for getting killed in the episode he's introduced. Then there's Mr. Worf, an already strong character getting beaten up by stronger beings. Chief Miles O'Brian in DS9 gets his share of suffering in one or two episodes per season. These are called "O'Brian must suffer!" And they're usually physically or mostly mentally overwhelming to the everyday family man!
Ah well!
Star Trek is owned by Paramount, and created by Gene Roddenberry (c) Frob Productions
Heh, blimey... yeah, I certainly heard about the red-shirt rule... kinda like the stormtrooper effect!
Also, the second one reminds me of that prologue in Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Mr Worf: Wheeee!! *runs at hostile alien invader, who knocks him down* Ow, my hair!

Well, the Stormtropper effect is basically no named lackeies who are bad at shooting. The Red Shirts are the nameless ensigns who get killed, to become some sort of emotional foil for the main characters!
I think that was part of the joke, poking more fun at the "Worf Effect". Any character deemed strong will get trounced by an even stronger character!
hehe yes thank you Doctor XD looks really amusing and silly some of these jokes I must say and I wonder why they all say oh snap anyway the expressions are priceless to look at and the colours are just as good too nice work and keep it up ^^

Well an author's job is never done till next time readers
This also reminds me of the Star-Trek-Next-Generation-movies directed by Jonathan Frakes in 1996 and 1998, they're more like long TV-episodes with all the elements mentioned above per se.
Knuckles: Damn you, Sega! You tricked me into a role where I get beaten up a lot! :curseyou: Big: Mmmm... I'm supposed to be strong too - but I don't get beaten up! But then, I don't fight...

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
