A short comic made in collaboration with Based on a script he wrote, which I liked. He had no time to work on it, so I volunteered! This is based on the new Castlevania Judgment game on the Wii.
Oh, and don't get me wrong. I don't hate the designs, or the fact that it's by Takeshi Obata who drew Death Note (alright series till halfway, that is), but I have to question some design choices: Simon and Trevor in lots of leather? Maria's dress??! Trevor's Eyepatch. Grant turning from pirate to mummy. Carmilla dressed in something more suitable for a Succubus. And so on. Either way, I've yet to try out the game myself, so I'll see how it turns out.
Oh, and guess which joke is who's idea: Mine or Luke's? But I'll tell you that I couldn't help but add the M. Bison joke, since I was watching some Nostalgia Critic at the same time.
And tried some experimenting with colouring with pencils and stuff. The backgrounds are a hit and miss, but the pencils worked well (but took a long time to get the colour to show)
Castlevania (c) Konami Original Script (c) Luke Wholey Drawing and other ideas (c) Me! M. Bison (c) Capcom
Didn't want to cram too many characters in. Plus, had no good jokes for them (except for Cornell being the only non-canon character in the game, and would basically say something like "Suck on that, Sonya and Graves!")
Pretty much! Though the games are still fun and good (which is rare among long running series).
I suppose. Harmony of Dissonance had a 8-Bit Simon playable in Boos Rush Mode, and in Portrait of Ruin, if you use the Team move "The Greatest Five", among the five Belmonts shown will be either an 8-Bit Simon or a new sprite of Simon based on his original "Conan" look.
The 25 semi-finalists for our "Darksiders: Your Last Days" contest have been selected! The ultimate winners will be chosen by Joe Madureira, aka "Joe Mad" of Vigil Games. Check out the awesome semi-finalists to see who made the cut!
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
